Leavin’ on a Jet Plane…
I’ve been home from the World Race for almost four months. My heart has been longing for the nations, longing to return to the places and people that I love scattered throughout the world. Finally, I am boarding a plane and returning to the nations!
Although I am not moving to Nicaragua until January, I am blessed to bring my family to see my new home in Candelaria. My parents, my best friend Steph, and I will be traveling to Candelaria, Nicaragua to visit September 26th-October 3rd. I am so excited to be able to share my heart for Candelaria with my family. We will be spending the week fellowshipping with the New Song Mission staff, reconnecting with the teenagers I will be discipling, and touring the village. It will be so wonderful to return to Candelaria and to spend time with the people that have stolen my heart! My heart has been longing to be a part of these teenagers lives once again and to be able to point them towards Christ.
Please be praying for our time in Candelaria. Here are some specific ways that you can pray:
1. Safe travels to and from Nicaragua.
2. Pray that I will be able to reconnect with the teenagers there. Many of them are doing very well and I want to encourage them to continue following after the Lord. Others have drifted away and I long to talk to them and challenge them to return to Christ and to the church. Pray that the language barriers won’t stop me from being able to say all that I want to communicate with them.
3. Pray that this will be a good time for my family to see and understand more of my heart for Candelaria.
4. Pray that God will continue to speak to me about how to best pray for and minister to the people of Nicaragua.
