January Update

I’m sorry that it has been so long since my last blog update. There has been so much that has been happening here. We have been buried in snow here in WV for almost a month. In fact, I have not seen my yard since the snow first started falling the week before Christmas. I also was able to celebrate Christmas with my family and friends which was wonderful after being away from home for Christmas last year. I was also blessed to travel to New Jersey to visit my friend and WR sister, Lindsay. I loved getting to visit with her, be a part of Lindsay and Ferdi’s wedding, and have a mini reunion with several of my World Race sisters. Here are some photos from the last couple of weeks:

Things have been going very well in preparing to move to Nicaragua. I had a wonderful time with some of my supporters at my Nicaraguan fundraising luncheon. It was an amazing time of fellowship, prayer, sharing stories about God’s work in Candelaria, and sampling authentic Nicaraguan food. Thanks to your prayers and financial support, I am now FULLY FUNDED for ministry in Nicaragua for 2010! Thank you so much for partnering with me in this ministry! I cannot do this without your continued prayers and your continued financial support. If you are a monthly supporter, please continue to go online and give.
I am now preparing to move to Nicaragua. There is so much to do in the next few weeks. I am in the process of packing, expediting a new passport, and searching for cheap plane tickets to Nicaragua. I am planning to move to Candelaria the last week of January. Hopefully I will have flight information to share with you soon.

Prayer Requests
1. I am having a new passport expedited to me. Please pray that it arrives quickly.
2. Pray that I can find a reasonably priced flight to Nicaragua.
3. Pray for my last few weeks in the States that I will be able to say goodbye to people and will wrap up my time here well.
4. Pray for my transition to full-time ministry in Candelaria.
