Three years ago today I moved to this gorgeous village of Candelaria. February 2, 2010 I started this beautiful adventurous life that I love with all of my heart. I am so thankful to be a part of New Song and ministry here in Nicaragua.

This year has a been beautiful outpouring of joy and the Lord's favor! Last year had been a winter season, but this year spring and new life burst forth in my heart and all around me.

"Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has spoken to her will be accomplished!" -Luke 1:45

This was a year of believing the Lord, of taking Him at His word, and walking into the fulfillment of His promises. This year we expanded our student sponsorship program and I have had my heart captured for the children in each of our four villages. I have seen my Sunday school teachers grow in maturity and authority. My relationship has deepened with Jasmina and Katalin. I had the opportunity to protect the hearts of some precious children. And the biggest expansion of all… I have begun to step toward my long-term dreams of becoming family to the orphaned, abandoned, and abused children. I became a land owner this year. I am about to file for Nicaraguan residency. I am working toward starting my own non-profit, Abide, and opening a foster care home. I fell in love with two beautiful girls in need of a mom.

This year has been an outpouring of favor and has kept me overflowing with joy and sprinting to keep up with the Lord. My life has changed so drastically in this past year and I cannot wait to see what is coming up in this next year of life and ministry in Candelaria. Thank you for journeying with me!
