The Difference Between Homeless and Homeowner: Update

   
This update is long overdue. I apologize for the amount of time that it has taken me to thank you all for your generosity and update you on how this project was completed. I was in the States when the house was completed and then came home to a dying child in our church. That needed to take precedence over everything else. Now I am able to thank you properly. 

   Back in October, we were asking for help to build a house for one of our church leaders, Alex Bonilla, who was about to lose his home (to read this story, read The Difference Between Homeless and Homeowner). The outpouring of love, support, and finances from the global church family was unbelievable!! In a matter of days, we had more than enough money to complete his home.
   As soon as the money was received, building materials were purchased and construction began on the house. The home was nearly complete when Alex and is family had to leave their rented house. They ended up staying with his in-laws for about a week while they finished the construction and then Alex, Lady, and their beautiful daughter Genesis moved into their very first home! (The whole family pictured at the door of their new home above right and Alex pictured inside their home left)) What a blessing to their family to finally have a home of their own!!
   Thank you to all of those who prayed with us for the Lord’s provision and thank you to all of those who gave! Your generosity has created a huge blessing for this family!

*All money that was donated beyond the need for Alex’s home has been designated to build homes for other members of our church who are in need or to repair some of our widow’s homes.
