The Difference Between Homeless and Homeowner…
Alex and his family are losing their home.
When Alex and Lady first married they were living with his in-laws. They worked hard to find a place of their own to live. They knew that they couldn’t afford to build so they found a house to rent. They have been renting that home for a year, but now the owner has decided to rent at a much higher price to incoming seasonal sugar cane workers. Alex can no longer afford to remain in his home. He and his family will be forced to leave their home on November 10.
Alex has been asking the Lord to provide for his family. God has already answered this prayer with two large blessings. The first is that Alex’s father-in-law is giving Alex and Lady (his wife) a plot of land on which they can build a home. Secondly, the federal government currently has a program where low-income families can apply to receive tin in order to build or repair their homes. Alex has applied for and received this help which will provide the tin for the roof of his home.
There is only one obstacle remaining… they do not have the money they need to cover the cost of blocks, cement, support beams, and nails. These materials will cost $300. Only $300 makes the difference between their family being homeless or owning their first home. This may sound like a small sum to build an entire home, but it’s an insurmountable obstacle for Alex and his family pictured right). They will be losing their current home on November 10th so this is an urgent need. Please consider partnering with us to come around Alex and his family and help provide for their needs.
