It was just one of those perfect moments. Nothing extraordinary, but perfect nonetheless. One of those moments when you just want to stop time so that you can drink in the fullness of its beauty.

We were all seated around the raging campfire that the guys from Living Water built. I was lying

on my back looking at the stars shining across the inky night sky and watching the fire spark and crackle above my head. Worship began. As the voices mingled and praises were rising to the Lord, Elvin and Andres (my two little boys from the corner house) came over to me. I was lying on my back with my knees bent up and Andres leaned back against my knees and Elvin plopped down in the grass beside me. They just sat there as we worshiped. Occasionally I would reach over and ruffle their hair. They continued to sit there as Marshall (from the Living Water team) talked about the Lord's love. I just prayed that they could feel His love. That they would know the glorious love of the Father for them.
A few minutes later, the boys scampered off as quickly as they had come. The entire "moment" lasted maybe ten minutes. Like I said, it was nothing extraordinary, but perfect nonetheless. There was something so priceless about the combination of the beauty of creation which surrounded us, the glorious sound of my teenagers praising their King, and the seeing these boys that I have been ministering to hear the Lord's love spoken over them. It makes my heart leap with joy. Thank You Jesus for moments of simple beauty like these!
