I love what happens when worship rises up! I love to see what springs forth as my youth enter into the presence of the Living God. We had a worship night last Friday with the youth that was SO needed. They needed to remember what it is like to be in His presence; to feel His love. I stood amazed as I watched what the Lord did in their midst…
I love to see as Rosita allowed the Lord to fill her heart with His love and Spirit. She sat basking in His love, receiving from Him, allowing the Lord to fill every corner of her heart to overflowing with His presence. Then she immediately went to pray over others asking the Spirit to speak to her for them. She is growing so much in hearing the Lord’s voice and speaking it forth. Lord grow in her more and more a sensitivity to Your Spirit and a boldness to be the voice of Your Spirit that is so alive and active in her.
I loved to watch as the Lord drew Gabi back to Himself. I watched her enter into the Lord’s presence. I felt led to go and put my arms around her and pray. As soon as I did she just starts sobbing and whispering over and over, “You didn’t forget me. You didn’t forget me.”
Later the Lord told me to write her words from Him about His love that she’s not abandoned, that she’s His beloved daughter, and that the Lord waits with open arms when she is ready to return to Him. She told me afterward that as she sat in the Lord’s presence she knew she wanted to come back to Him, but had been asking “Do You even want me back Lord? If so, show me Your love.” That was the moment God sent me to hug her and why she started crying out “You didn’t forget me”. And she had been praying to hear that she was still His daughter and that she could come back to Him. Lord Thank You that You are a God who speaks to Your children. You spoke to her so intimately. Thank You for using me in that way.
I watched as Sandra worshiped the Lord with hands raised in adoration. I could see that the Lord was speaking to her heart and asking her to step forward in something. You could see the struggle in her heart and then could see peace in the moment of surrender to the Lord’s will. I saw as she rose up from her place in the room and began to put the Lord’s will into action. I love to see when worship brings reconciliation, not only with God, but between believers. I saw Sandra go to Gabriela and talk with her. I know there has been some tension between them. Sandra went and talked to her. They embraced and began to pray together. I really want to see more reconciliation come through worship and Matthew 18 come to pass.
The other thing I loved so much was seeing Teresa dance before the Lord to “perfume a tus pies”. She was just dancing from her heart before her Father and it was beautiful!!
I watched as she danced and was just aglow with love for her Father. I watched as she broke down and began to weep before Him in the middle of her dance.
Our dance ministry (at least among the youth) has been on hold for awhile because it became something that wasn’t for the Lord. There was constant disunity. The youth who were in dance had stopped walking in holiness, had stopped seeking the Lord’s heart and had, therefore, lost their unity and anointing upon their ministry. Many of the youth have been angry about the decision to pause ministry through dance. It was a decision made in order to take time to seek the Lord’s face, to return to Him in worship and holiness, and then from that overflow of Him to begin ministering again in dance.
As I watched Teresa worship and cry out before the Lord through dance, I just began fervently praying that she would feel the difference in her heart between truly dancing for God and what they had been doing in recent months. Lord let that moment with You spark in her a hunger for Your presence and for worship. Let it bring her back to a place of seeking to walk in holiness and purity and allowing her dance to flow naturally from an overflow of love for You.
Lord we need Your presence! We need a worship leader (our worship leader moved to Esteli a couple months ago to take a job there)! I ask that You send someone to lead worship SOON; someone who really has a gift of carrying people into Your throne room. The lives and hearts of the youth are changed in worship, but I know that they must keep entering in for lasting transformation.
It is amazing how we are changed by being in God’s presence… Thank you for sharing about the dance ministry. Their story hits close to home with me. I praise God for that seed of hope that perhaps the youth are growing ready to dance again for HIM… I pray for seeds of hope in my own life as well. =] Love you, friend.
