Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love coffee!  My favorite way to sit a share my heart with other people is in a coffee shop over a delicious cup of coffee or cappuccino (pictured right at a coffee plantation in Nicaragua with my dear friend Lindsay). Now I have the chance to share an exciting fundraising opportunity that combines both my love for missions and for coffee…

Melissa, Tommy and Linda's daughter, started a coffee company in NC called Well-Bean. They offer delicious organic, direct-trade coffees. They also have beautiful hearts to support missionaries and the things that the Lord is doing around the world.

I've even tried to spread the love of coffee to my sweet hijas. So far that mission has been unsuccessful, but I'll keep trying! (Their faces when they tasted my coffee pictured below left) You can now drink great coffee and help love and serve kids (like Yessica and Juanita) here in Chichigalpa. I'm now partnering with Well-Bean to help augment my personal support and to begin gathering money for the future Abide Home. Ok, so here are the details of how you can buy coffee and help support missions in Nicaragua…

1. Visit the Well-Bean Store: http://shop.well-bean.com/main.sc

2. Shop for your favorite coffee and coffee gifts.

3. Use the coupon code LisaS at checkout to ensure that my ministry receives part of the proceeds.

4. Enjoy your wonderful coffee and know that you've been a part of ministry, making disciples and loving kids here in Chichigalpa.

Everyone wins! For every bag of coffee that you buy using the code LisaS, $1 goes to New Song Mission, $6.50 goes back into Well-Bean's business, and the remaining money comes to my personal support. On average, $5.00/bag will help support my personal ministry here at New Song. If you get together and order with friends, family, or members of your church, you can save on individual shipping costs.

So, start shopping. Drink your delicious coffee and know that you are helping me to tutor struggling kids, build the Abide foster home, do things to take care of my own heart in ministry, disciple children and families, teach the Bible to teenagers, love sweet little babies, walk in the calling that the Lord has placed on my life and continue ministry indefinitely here in Chichigalpa. So drink well, love well.

  1. Lis, Does this apply to ALL of the items for sale on their website? Or only the NIcaraguan coffees? Gonna order some but want to make sure I’m getting the right stuff.

    Thanks!
