This has been an incredible month full of so many beautiful moments. Check out the highlights below:

I was so thrilled to start this month celebrating the baptism of 9 of our youth (Leo’s baptism pictured above)! Gissell, Raul, Jesvic, Leo, Charly, Manuel, Jennifer, Marlon and Carla were all baptized in a special service on April 2nd. Cadence, Gabriela and I were so excited to celebrate with them as they made this big leap forward in their walk with the Lord. My heart absolutely overflowed with joy to see how the Lord is at work in their hearts and to see them really committing to walk with Him.

This month Cadence and I took our 3rd and final History of Leon field trip. This time we were with our sassy 7th graders from Candelaria, Nuevo Amanecer and La Isla. I loved this time with them! You can read more about our Leon field trips here: Exploring Leon.

This month Gabriela, Cadence and I hosted a two-day Sunday school training in Candelaria for current Sunday school teachers and other youth who were interested in becoming teachers. We learned songs, did team builders, and taught them teaching methods. We had a lot of fun together, built confidence in them, and worked on our group unity. I am excited for what the Lord has in store for these youth this year and feel thankful that Gabriela is there and I am able to hand Sunday school over to her this year.

Cadence, Linda and I were able to go to Easter brunch at El Bogedon in Leon. We have been wanting to try out their Sunday brunch for months and I was so thankful for this Easter Sunday treat.

On Sunday night we had an Easter service with all 5 of our New Song churches. I loved celebrating the Resurrection of Christ with our full New Song family! It was a beautiful, joy filled night. There were so many beautiful parts of this service… our youth performed dance and drama (pictured above), Pastors Walther and Daniel were placed in positions as pastor to the pastors, Junieth was baptized, we took communion together, and celebrated Christ’s resurrection. This was a wonderful service!

This month I was able to attend a few of our New Song baseball games. I love the opportunity to watch the kids play.  The teams were so excited that they finally received their uniforms!

We ended this month with a 2-night field trip to the mountains of Matagalpa with our students in their 4th and 5th years of high school. We had an incredible time with them!! We went on educational tours, had adventures together, worshipped, and taught on goal setting. I can’t imagine a better weekend with these incredible youth! I’m thankful for the chance to work alongside them.

I love to see as the Abide Home begins to look more and more like a home. I cannot wait to see what this home will hold. Please keep praying for this home and the family that the Lord will place here.
